Old Gunsan Islands

Today I spent most of my time at the Old Gunsan Islands and more specifically on SeonYu Island beach. It was about an hour ferry ride from Gunsan City in the Yellow Sea. SeonYu is one of those islands that a lot of Koreans visit, especially on the weekends and holidays. The day was really foggy, so I didn't get the best pictures. I climbed one of the mountains and it was crazy. The trail was hard to find and you had to use ropes to pull yourself up steep parts. Then a couple of the people I came with rented tandem bikes and for the first time I rode a tandem bike. It is a lot harder than it looks. On the island there were little shops/restaurants where you could get fresh seafood. And when I say fresh, I mean the fish/octopus/scuttle fish are alive swimming in a small tank, then you order and they are taken out, gutted and put on a plate. I watched a guy do it several times and the octopus when put on the plate (raw) was still moving even though it was chopped up into many pieces. Overall it was a pretty relaxing day.
