Good-bye Seoul, Hello Bangkok

Our flight wasn't until the evening, so we spent a lot of the day doing some Christmas shopping. We took a local Korean bus to the airport from when Ben lives. It normally takes an hour and a half, but the traffic in Seoul is always horrible on the weekends so it took over 2 hours to get there. Thankfully I inherited my Dad's desire to get to the airport really early before your flight, so we still had plenty of time once we did get there. I was pretty excited about going to Thailand. I had heard so many good things. Our flight was a little over 5 hours long and was a direct flight to Bangkok. On the flight we had some airline food and of course I couldn't pass up the hot pepper paste to add some flavor to my meal. Yum.

Bangkok was two hours behind Seoul, so it wasn't too late when we arrived. When we got there, we were met by our guide, Monica, who gave us these pretty orchid leis. It took maybe 30 to 40 minutes to get to our hotel from the airport. On the way I noticed pretty quickly that the traffic in Thailand is the same as Japan and England. Since it was dark, we couldn't really see too much, but I could tell Bangkok was a pretty big city. When we checked into our hotel, we were given drinks of something that tasted like sweet tea, but I think it was some sort of fruit juice. Here is us checking in.

Soon after this we went to bed because it was midnight Korea time. I was excited, but was able to sleep.
