Tabitha - week 8

Week eight brought about a breastfeeding challenge for me. I struggled with a blocked duct that was also potentially mastitis in my right breast. Not a lot of fun but I managed to get it resolved without antibiotics thankfully. I had no idea how hard or painful breastfeeding was and this was really a challenge. I even had a fever and flu symptoms for a short time, but those symptoms went away. Tabitha helped me heal quickly. I was very thankful this happened while I was still at home because I was pumping after each feeding (which was more often) and having to do a cold compress for 20 min afterwards.

Tabitha continues to get stronger and smile more often. Even though she still isn't the biggest fan of tummy time her neck muscles are stronger and she can hold her head up impressively now.

She has been really good lately about not spitting up, but this week she got Ben and the floor but of course she looked like nothing had happened.

She also turned 8 weeks.
