China Trip - Day 9 (Shanghai)
Our final day in China. We packed a lot of things into the time we had left and a lot of it is a blur. I'm glad we took pictures, because we really did fly by things. Here are a few pictures of our hotel, which was really nice.
Here is some of the Shanghai skyline in the morning.
We first went to the Shanghai museum.

It had a lot to see and while we did go into every room I think we missed a lot. The museum was awesome. I wish we could have spent more time there, but we were in and out pretty quickly. We then took a taxi to the Yu Yuan gardens. To go there we had to walk through Old Town

which was packed full of tourists. There was no room to walk freely and we had to elbow our way back to where the garden were. The Yu Yuan gardens were amazing. Again, I wish we could have had more time to look around, but it was very pretty and serene (even though there were tons of people around).

We hurried around the garden and then had a quick lunch which included things we thought looked good. Some of the dumplings were really good. Ben liked the big dumplings with beef broth in the middle. I'm sipping out of one of those in this picture.
After lunch we took a taxi back to the hotel, got our bags and then went to the airport. I liked Shanghai and would have liked those 17 hours the "weather" took away from us. Our time in China was really a great experience. I'm glad we had the opportunity to spend time there.
