North Korean Spy Sub, Guinsa Temple, Cheon Cave, and Azaleas festival

So it took longer than we thought to get to the Unification Park on the east coast of the Peninsula. There was a North Korean spy sub and a Navy warship. In 1996 the sub infiltrated South Korean waters, hit some rocks and they had to abandon ship. I don't think the South Koreans were very happy about it, but then again, the park was name Unification Park, so you can't be too sure. The warship wasn't that exciting, but we looked around it anyway. We then headed off to Guinsa, but that took longer than we thought too. Guinsa was pretty impressive. Its the headquarters of the Cheontae sect of Korean Buddhism and was huge. We walked around looking at the sights. We then tried to find the Ondol fortress walls, but were unsuccessful. We got back in the car and headed towards Danyang. We stopped by Cheon Cave, which had some narrow passageways in itand then checked into our hotel. Luckily the Azaleas festival was going on and was a minute walk from our hotel. There was all kinds of food, a 1000 won store (like the dollar store) and of course entertainment. We saw some Russian dancers.Ben wanted to try some garlic and rice hotpot, so we found a place for that, but we thought it was a little bland. We then went back to the festival and got some falafhal from a Turkish guy. It was ok, but I think it might have made me sick. Overall I was pretty blah during the day, but it was still nice to spend time together, even if we aren't going a million miles an hour.
